Omaha North High School Wrestling Receives Grant

Omaha North high school wrestling team was selected as a R.E.A.C.H.E.S grant recipient to support its wrestling program. The $3000 grant has a major impact on our program. Omaha North high school Omaha, Nebraska and we have a student population that is 74% free and reduced lunch. Last year (2021/22 season) was our first inaugural year of all girls wrestling. With the addition of the girls wrestling team our funding became more and more of an issue. We must do a lot of fundraising to support our team. With the R.E.A.C.H.E.S grant we decided to purchase headgear for the whole team. As we all know headgear are very expensive and this was a great financialrelief in our program. Thank you, R.E.A.C.H.E.S for supporting not only Omaha North Wrestling, but for supporting wrestling teams across the nation.
