Wichita North Youth Wrestling Club In Kansas Receives Singlet Donation from REACHES

Wichita, Kansas – First, I would like to thank you personally. It is a great thing that you do in helping with programs for these kids. Everyone involved with the R.E.A.C.H.E.S. organization should be proud of the positive impact they are making. The Wichita North Youth Wrestling Program has a similar caring approach towards the betterment of today’s young people. Our mission is to empower young men and women with the knowledge and discipline it takes to be successful individuals, not only in their athletic endeavors but also in their journeys through life. Often young people that are trying to find their way get pushed to the side while in search of a purpose. This lack of positive reinforcement can often lead to a path of destruction. A fair amount of these kids don’t have the support or the financial means to get involved in the types of programs that could save their lives or, at the very least, provide them with a skill set to have a chance at being successful adults. At our program we invite the kids that may not have the ability to pay for wrestling fees and equipment. We have a saying “The size of your wallet should not determine whether you get an opportunity when you’re a youngster”. They don’t have any control over their financial situation and many of them have single parents working two jobs just to pay their bills. That is why we are very appreciative of the singlet’s R.E.A.C.H.E.S. has donated to our program. It doesn’t seem like much, but just the money we saved from your donation will allow us to help several more kids in this community. Your act of kindness will not go unnoticed at our next gathering the kids will be signing and sending a thank you card to your headquarters. We teach our kids the importance of giving back and understanding the good in helping others. Not only are they expected to do it for our group but also those that have helped such as R.E.A.C.H.E.S. We hope that others that have been helped by your group can follow suit and do the same to show their appreciation. Please, if there is anything we can do to help your program allow us to do so. We will certainly be one of your best ambassador’s.

ABOUT BRUTE WRESTLING

Brute Wrestling was founded in 1967, in Virginia, by retired U.S. Navy Captain Josiah Henson. Captain Henson was an Olympic bronze medalist in Freestyle wrestling in 1952 and the first American wrestler to beat a Russian at the Olympics. The company began as the first wrestling mail order business. John Purnell joined the company in 1975 and in 1977 became the President and majority owner. Shortly thereafter, Purnell moved the company to Reading, Pennsylvania to begin manufacturing wrestling uniforms under the brand name Brute Wrestling. At that time, the company began distributing through a network of sporting goods dealers. In 1989, a line of soccer uniforms was added under the name Liga Soccer. In 2003, the company product line was expanded to include custom uniforms for volleyball, softball and basketball under the brand name NeuEdge Sportswear. NeuEdge Sportswear quickly became one of the leading producers of custom sublimated team uniforms in the country. In 2010, Henson Group launched a lacrosse and field hockey line under the brand Evolve Team Sportswear. Today Henson Group Sports provides a complete line of top quality wrestling, lacrosse, softball, basketball and volleyball products and apparel to sporting goods dealers; amateur and professional athletic clubs and teams; and other buyers all over North America.
