Harden Middle School Receives New Singlet Donation
Salinas, CA. – The R.E.A.C.H.E.S. non-profit organization recently donated Brute Wrestling singlets to the Harden Middle School Huskies located in Salinas, CA. R.E.A.C.H.E.S. is helping wrestlers to continue participating in the sport. “Through wrestling, we are able to keep kids off the streets and help them to build character and self discipline in a safe environment,” said Harden Middle School wrestling coach Marc Martinez.
Over the last three years, Coach Martinez has successfully rebuilt the Harden Middle school program and increased participation numbers from 15 kids three years ago to over 100 this past year. The recent R.E.A.C.H.E.S. singlet donation will allow ALL the Harden Middle School wrestlers an opportunity to participate in the upcoming season tournaments and eliminate the possibility of them having to reduce participation numbers.
“Many of the kids do not even have wrestling shoes and find themselves sharing shoes and singlets when they attend local tournaments”, said Coach Martinez. “Now with the support of Brute Wrestling and the R.E.A.C.H.E.S. program our kids will no longer have to share singlets and wrestling shoes which will help continue to keep participation numbers up. The kids, parents and coaches are all grateful for the generosity and support of companies like Brute and the R.E.A.C.H.E.S. program that allow our children to participate in a sport like wrestling and keep them off the streets”, said Coach Martinez.
