Brute Wrestling Camp Continues its Assistance of West Chester Wrestling

West Chester, PA – Funds generated by Brute Wrestling, R.E.A.C.H.E.S., West Chester University alumni, and the Brute Wrestling Camp all make the West Chester University hosted Brute Wrestling Camp which begins on July 16th all possible.

The West Chester University hosted Brute Wrestling Camp will begin on July 16th with the excitement and adrenaline that is often seen during summer camp wrestling. This excitement will carry over to the countless wrestlers that will be able to participate in the sport they love thanks to the funds generated by Brute Wrestling, R.E.A.C.H.E.S., West Chester University alumni, and the Brute Wrestling Camp.

A joint venture between West Chester University alumni, Brute Wrestling, and R.E.A.C.H.E.S., the Brute Wrestling Camp began in 2010 and has quickly matured into a stable fundraiser for West Chester based wrestling. The camp’s profits are currently used to maintain the West Chester Wrestling Club and provide additional wrestling opportunities for local student athletes that would otherwise be unable to participate in wrestling activities. While the profits are directed to a worthy cause, the pricing for the camp is structured to ensure that all wrestlers are able to attend. Keeping the cost of the Brute Wrestling Camp at a minimum is only possible through the multiple parties that are dedicated to the camp’s cause.

Initially spearheaded by West Chester University alumnus, funding through R.E.A.C.H.E.S (Rewarding Educational Athletic Choices Helping Each Sport) has helped the camp become the success that was envisioned. Brute Wrestling, R.E.A.C.H.E.S, and the West Chester Alumni have worked tirelessly to build the Brute Wrestling Camp into a premier summer wrestling camp by enlisting both elite wrestlers and accomplished wrestling coaches.

The world class wrestlers enlisted for the 2012 camp are as follows: Roger Sanders, Ricky Bomono, Rocky Bomono, Wade Schalles, and Duane Bastress. In addition to five elite wrestlers, a long list of successful coaches will also operate as clinicians. Dale Bonsall, Steve Powell, Bill Racich, Alray Johnson, Mike Moyer, John Licata, Joe Miller, Joe Russell, Paul Morina, and Mike Rodgers will all be bringing their expertise to the Brute Wrestling Camp. Jeffrey Bowyer (R.E.A.C.H.E.S. Executive Director and former James Madison University Head Coach) will also act as a clinician, showing that even the highest members of the Brute Wrestling Camp structure are dedicated to providing attendees with the best in hands on training.

The Brute Wrestling Camp will operate July 16-19 from 9 AM to 5 PM daily. All events of the Brute Wrestling Camp will take place on the West Chester University campus.
