Buford Middle School Receives Singlet Donation
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA, December 14, 2009 - Today the Buford Middle School Trojans Wrestling team received a donation of 25 wrestling singlets from R.E.A.C.H.E.S.
“The donation of the singlets comes at a time when funds are unavailable for a new program that has grown from eleven wrestlers a year ago to twenty five this year. Entering into competitions with area schools requires that the wrestlers wear the singlets, instead of shorts and a tee shirt; competitions allow the team to see the fruits of their hard work and to measure their progress as a program.” said assistant coach, Patrick Scharf. When the program was told that the funds were not there, Rivanna Gear and Apparel was asked to help. They contacted Brute and adidas Wrestling for direction and got the ball rolling. Head coach, Torrey Brice was grateful, adding that “The donation of the singlets by R.E.A.C.H.E.S. will help countless kids over many wrestling seasons as they learn team concepts and prepare for the trials of being a student athlete in high school.” The coaches were also thankful for the use of the Cavalier Wrestling Club singlets for their first matches. John Kammauff of the CWC club provided them without hesitation.
Brute and adidas Wrestling are the driving force behind REACHES and their support of wrestling throughout the country is the reason RGA carries their products.
