Henry Cejudo's American Dream Wrestling Camps Garner Support From National Sponsors
June 7, 2010, Phoenix, AZ-Olympic Gold Medalist Henry Cejudo recently kicked off his American Dream camp series in Phoenix Arizona, garnering support from National sponsors Brute adidas, Flowrestling and Blue Chip Athletic, as well as local sponsors such as Deseret Health Group in Kansas. Each company chose to sponsor several promising young athletes that otherwise could not afford to attend the five-day training camps.
According to Jeffrey Bowyer, director of sports marketing and events for Brute adidas, “Our organization strongly supports programs that directly benefit young athletes, therefore we chose to sponsor several deserving wrestlers for Cejudo’s camp through our Reaches Program. We feel that Cejudo’s camp offers an invaluable experience to participating athletes. During the camp, in addition to helping attendees improve their wrestling skills, clinicians encourage personal growth and teach life skills such as goal setting and team building.”
Olympic Gold Medalist Henry Cejudo, who has long been affiliated with the national sponsors, expresses his gratitude, “I am very honored to be associated with companies like Brute adidas, Flowrestling and Blue Chip Athletic, who continuously give back to the wrestling community. I would like to personally thank all of the American Dream camp sponsors. They are making it possible for underprivileged kids, kids who grew up like I did, to attend a top-notch training camp. To these kids, the generosity of these sponsors represents the chance of a lifetime.“
Cejudo went on to say, “I couldn’t have asked for a better camp to kick off the American Dream series. The Phoenix camp had a great turnout and I had the privilege of mentoring some very talented young athletes. I can’t wait for the next American Dream camp to begin. The next stop - Kansas!”
During the week long American Dream Camp series, young athletes have the unique opportunity to work one on one with Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo and his team of accomplished clinicians. Participants receive personal instruction, and are given the tools to take their wrestling skills to the next level. The American Dream Camp curriculum includes intense drilling, instruction on technique, and live wrestling matches. Participants will also gain unique motivational and nutritional knowledge
